Laser scanning: Cloud point surveys
Abel uses state-of-the-art technologies to conduct surveys and take accurate measurements for the design of new industrial plants or for revamping operations implemented on existing plants.
Cloud point surveys: Laser Scanning is a technology that is gaining ground in the surveying of complex objects and especially for documentation in the civil field. Nowadays, this technology is commonly used in industry, especially for revamping plants developed without 3D modelling software. This method enables to engineer new plants or modify plant parts starting from the existing model, elaborated using this scanning technology.
The large amount of data acquired in such a short time enables highly detailed and complete surveys to be carried out, thus optimising times with greater focus on engineering. A large number of points distributed across the surveyed object are used when scanning, to produce what is known as a "cloud point survey" and achieve the desired degree of detail.
